Southwestern HR Consulting previously reported on the listening sessions to the EEOC’s strategic plan. The EEOC is finalizing a draft of its 2022-2026 Strategic Plan (SP). However, the agency just posted a draft of its Strategic Enforcement Plan (SEP) for FY 2023-FY2027 for comment on the Federal Register. There is still time to provide comments on this second document. Comments may be submitted at regulations.gov on or before February 9, 2023. While a separate document, the strategic plan works with the SEP and outlines objectives, goals, and performance measures.
The SEP Executive Summary signifies that it “Expands the vulnerable and underserved worker priority to include additional categories of workers…,” “refines the recruitment and hiring priority to include limiting access” to certain employment programs, addresses waivers, releases, non-disparagement agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, and addresses updates related to “emerging and developing issues” such as COVID-19, the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act of 2022, and technology, including addressing the use of artificial intelligence.
