Today, several of our Southwestern HR Consulting (SWHRC) team attended the Human Resource Management Association (HRMA) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI & B) Symposium. This year’s conference included a broad perspective to DEI & B, to include civility, leadership, and communication.
As an HR consulting firm, we often see improvement in communication between peers and between management and staff as key to ensuring organizational success. Different experiences lead to different perspectives. Different perspectives can strengthen the organization but when there is a lack of trust, this can lead to divisiveness. Add in the human ability to make assumptions and the workplace can become tumultuous.
We’ve been recommending communications training to some of our clients along with the more traditional Respectful Workplace Training. This additional offering assists in providing an opportunity for your staff to practice better communication skills, leading to improved relations inside of and outside of the workplace. SWHRC also offers mediation services when formal facilitation is needed. Our consultants can walk you through our list of services. Contact us today to speak with a representative and learn more about our services.
